For five years she was speaking to cancer groups on “The Healing Power of Laughter!” because she lost both her dad and brother to this dreaded disease. Years before her diagnosis, Diana found herself a top speaker for The Susan G. Komen Organization. So, needless to say she was shocked when she received the news. “Did you all give this to me? she chortled to an audience of hundreds of survivors and family members “A watch or a fruit basket would have been just fine!” She worked many months after her diagnosis with the cancer because like most women – she financially had to.

It’s not easy but tune into ‘your funny.’ Example: A couple of weeks after my mastectomy a friend’s brother said to me, ‘I’m so sorry you had breast cancer, my aunt had a vasectomy!” Did he really say that! Oh yes, he did!
